We are in London Town - and some rats and a very bossy traffic warden seem to be taking over the city, but nobody can keep the Pearlies down for long. Meanwhile, an election for the position of Lord Mayor is imminent. Alderman Fabricate Fitzwarren expects to be elected once again, assisted by his long-time admirer Dame Letitia Lovegrass - she of the doubtful pies and loud sneezes. Dick Wellington and his cat Cuthbert are banished forever, but will they return so Dick can marry his beloved Alice.......? Is Janey quite what she seems...?
