I think we can finally lay this one to rest. The last 3 images from this scope (GRAS 15) have been very poor quality. I understand it's been very dry and dusty out at Moorook, Australia.
Here is the last image I took, yesterday, 22-Mar-2008 16:22:30 UTC
180 sec Luminance bin 1
The image has been calibrated in MaximDL using the very latest calibration files, the only way to rid the image of the dust-donuts is to set the screen stretch so that only the very brightest stars remain.
So, the final answer is........
