Having imaged the Southern Pinwheel yesterday, I could not neglect its northern counterpart
M 101. RA 4 03 11.88 Dec 54 21 00.0.

4 x Red 90 sec bin 1
4 x V(Grn) 90 sec bin 1
4 x B 90 sec bin 1
Not a great image. If I learned one thing today, it's that timing is everything. I often wondered why the scopes went through a bit of a slack period of use, which is when I tend to use them. I guess I'm using them at the wrong time, when the moon is fullest, the sky cloudiest, just all the wrong conditions. I didn't check the FOV either, so the image is a bit clipped, although actually I quite like it. Another on my list to revisit.
